M PARKER EDITING

With more than fifteen years of experience across multiple specialties, Michelle offers high-quality editorial services for fiction and nonfiction clients alike. She has worked with more than 200 authors, with a particular focus on supporting writers from demographics that are typically underrepresented in the publishing industry, and she's especially interested in works that feature characters from marginalized groups—including characters of colour, LGBTQIA+ characters, disabled characters, etc.—and #ownvoices content in particular. Because Chelle strongly believes that powerful writing is about so much more than just following grammar rules and is herself a polyglot, she loves projects that feature more languages and dialects than just "the Queen's English". She approaches helping established authors looking to fine-tune their work with just as much passion as coaching new writers intent on focusing their ideas. If you're seeking an editor who is 100% on your team, Chelle is the editor for you.

Works Chelle has edited have gone on to be finalists for the Hugo, Eisner, Norma K. Hemming, Aurora, and Locus Awards, and to win the Angoulême and Aurealis Awards. She is incredibly proud of, and incredibly grateful for, every author who has trusted her with their words.
